Guardian Pharmacy SEFL supports the Miami Heat, our hometown team, in the NBA Finals! To get everyone amped for Game 4, we hosted a virtual game of “Bring The Heat Bingo” 
that included both our internal and remote teammembers on Friday, June 9th. The competition was indeed “White Hot Heat” as everyone marked their cards to win a Miami Heat Tee-Shirt with numbers called 
out over our paging system starting at 3:05 p.m. (Miami’s area code). Ryan Barnett, the newest Pharmacist, won the grand prize and is pictured here with Stalia Alteme, our Director of Finance and Administration. This was a fun way to end the week and get everyone engaged. Work is work…but here at Guardian, work can also be fun! Let’s Gooooooooooo Heat!

The official theme, set by The International Council of Nurses (ICN) for Nurses week 2023 is “Our Nurses. Our Future”. Guardian Pharmacy SE Florida says “Indeed”! As the Pharmacy of choice for over 130 long-term care facilities in SE Florida, we know it’s the Nurses that care for, tend to, and ensure resident/patient health. In return, we want them to show our appreciation during International Nurses week, May 6th through the 13th, 2023.
Our staff packed over 650 lunch totes with goodies and hand-delivered them to every nurse at the facilities we serve, just to say thank you! It was a large undertaking, but we got it done. Between our Director of Marketing, dedicated Nurse Account Managers, and internal administrative team, we made sure every nurse in our facilities know they are indeed our future. Guardian Pharmacy SEFL celebrated Mother’s Day all month long!
The bright and beautiful lobby at Guardian Pharmacy SE Florida is accentuated by a 12-foot Frosted Pine Tree affectionately called the Guardian Tree! We change the décor seasonally to keep our lobby vibrant and inviting.
This year, in honor of Mother’s Day, we invited each associate to bring in a picture of their mother as a public display to honor their Mom’s. Check out the pictures here (add link). Our Mothers are indeed our Guardians. We honor them today and every day!
The last Thursday of April is “Bring The Kids To Work Day” nationwide. This year, Guardian Pharmacy – SEFL did it big! For the first time, 20 young people joined their parents at work, for a fun-filled day learning about Guardian, collecting goodies and participating in engaging activities. “The pictures tell the story, but it’s the children who are looking forward to next year that lets us know, we did a really good job” says LaWanda Harris, 2023 facilitator. Every department got involved and made sure our young people had a day they will not soon forget. That’s the culture here at Guardian and part of the secret sauce to our success. Every joint supply for our customers, our teammembers and even for the next generation of potential pharmaceutical professionals.
