Much has been said about the continuing changes to your insurance coverage. Regardless, one of the more important decisions you are faced with is the choice of a primary pharmacy for your loved one regardless if they are in an assisted living or long-term care facility. Some insurance plans will say they will lower your co-pay by servicing your loved one through their preferred retail chain pharmacy. We caution you to be careful of what they offer. If it seems too good to be true, it more than likely is.

Alan Traster, RPh
President
A 30-year veteran of long term healthcare, Alan is responsible for the overall management of Guardian Pharmacy SEFL. He joined the Guardian Pharmacy family in 2010. Alan’s experience includes owner of Comfort Care Hospice, NJ; Regional Vice President of Omnicare; Mid-Atlantic District; Pompton Nursing Home Suppliers of NJ; and Savon Pharmacy. He is a Registered Consultant Pharmacist (New Jersey and Florida), and a Fellow of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists.
Charmaine Munnings, RPhT, MBA, RPhT
Director of Pharmacy Operations
With over 30 years in the pharmacy industry – 17 in long-term care and 13 in retail – Charmaine is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Guardian Pharmacy South Florida and providing for its communities. She holds both a BS in Health Service Administration and an MS in Business Administration. Past careers included companies such as ChemRx, RxPerts, Pharmerica, Option Care and Eckerd Drugs.
Debi Shulman
Director of Business Development
Debi joined Guardian Pharmacy South Florida in 2008 as our Director of Sales & Marketing. In her role, she is the first contact and company’s liaison with our patient communities throughout SEFL. A 20 year-veteran within the pharmaceutical industry, Debi has worked in all areas of pharmacy operations, focusing on business development, quality standards and control. A prior LTC pharmacy owner, she is a member of ALFA, FALA, FHCA, as well as a Leading Age Sponsor.
Stalia Alteme, MAcc
Director of Finance an Administration
Jacqueline Moran, RN
Clinical Support/Education, Compliance Specialist, Nurse Account Manager
Jacqui is a RN with over 25 years in the pharmacy industry. As our Clinical Support Specialist, she is responsible for helping facilities prepare for state inspections by conducting audits, quality reviews and in services. In addition, she offers teaching assistance with medication administration and Alzheimer courses. She holds an Associates Degree in Nursing. Among her certifications are BLS for the Health Care Provider, Surveyor Minimum Qualification Test (SMQT), Nursing Assessment Refresher.
